About the Clements Gap Sustainable Community fund Pacific Blue’s Clements Gap Sustainable Communities Fund shares the benefits of the Clements Gap Wind Farm with the surrounding communities, providing long-lasting social, economic and environmental value that goes beyond the life of the wind farm. Since the commissioning of Clements Gap Wind Farm in 2010, the Fund has provided more than $700,000 to over 150 local sustainable projects. Eligible community groups are encouraged to apply for project funding for up to $10,000 from a pool of $55,000. The Clements Gap Sustainable Community Fund is open to community groups and not-for-profit organisations that serve from: Clements Gap Crystal Brook Fisherman Bay Merriton Mundoora Port Broughton Red Hill Wandearah East Wandearah West Organisations and projects do not necessarily need to be based in the fund area, but the proposed projects must operate in, and provide benefit to these communities to be eligible. Redhill Bowls Club In 2024, we’re proud to assist the Redhill Bowling Club in upgrading its facilities, ensuring they can continue hosting events and bringing the community together. Crystal Brook Athletics In 2024, Pacific Blue is proud to sponsor the Crystal Brook Classic Athletics Carnival, supporting local fundraising efforts and bringing the community together. Crystal Brook Tennis Club Thanks to a grant for solar panels, the Crystal Brook Tennis Club saved over $1,200 on electricity in the first year alone—funds that can now go towards other initiatives. Port Broughton Bowls Club Pacific Blue’s $10,000 grant is helping the Port Broughton Bowling Club install a battery system, reducing electricity costs so they can better support their members and community. Port Broughton Hospital Pacific Blue’s funding helped the Port Broughton Health Advisory Council replace an outdated structure with a new shaded area, creating a better space for patients and visitors. Eligibility The project will directly benefit at least one of the local communities in the relevant Fund Area (as defined in the guidelines). Who can apply A not-for-profit organisation is an organisation that is not operating for the profit or gain (either direct or indirect) of its individual members, including: Incorporated Associations Committees of Management Unincorporated (Voluntary) Associations with an ABN and a formal constitution Co-operatives (that are defined as not-for-profit in their charter or constitution) Companies Limited by Guarantee NFP organisations that do not yet have an ABN are eligible, but additional paperwork may be required if their proposed project is successful Ensure that you read the Community Benefit Fund Program Guidelines – Item 2.3 Eligibility organisations for full details.
