Solar Feed-in tariffs

What’s a feed-in tariff?

You can think of solar as the gift that keeps on giving. When your solar panels produce more energy than you use, this energy gets fed into the electricity grid. A feed-in tariff (FiT) is a credit you get paid for ‘feeding in’ this renewable energy into the grid.

What will my feed-in tariff be?

  • VICTORIA

From 1st of July 2024 the general feed-in tariff under Pacific Blue's current electricity plans is 3.3 cents/kWh.
These rates are subject to change, and we will let you know beforehand if they do.

The Premium Feed-in Tariff (PFIT) scheme ended on 1 November 2024. As a result, former PFIT customers at Pacific Blue are no longer eligible to receive 60c/kWh for excess electricity fed into the grid. The PFIT was a fixed-term initiative introduced in late 2009 to encourage Victorians to adopt solar PV systems. Customers formerly on a premium feed-in tariff will receive the general feed-in tariff rate specified in their energy plan.

  • NEW SOUTH WALES

The general FiT under Pacific Blue’s current electricity plans is 0.0 cents/kWh.

This rate is subject to change, and we will let you know beforehand if it does.

  • SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Please note all feed-in rates are exclusive of GST, and customers who provide their ABN and notice of GST registration will be paid GST for feed-in purchased by Pacific Blue.
